Optic Fibre

Have you seen an Optic Fibre cable before? Last Tuesday, two piece of those cable was put in front of me during lab session and I was wondering what it was till my classmate told me it was Optic Fibre.

As usual, the jungle boy got excited and all the Oo and Ah noises came out.

I believe my classmate is able to sense my curiosity on how to use it and that's where he shine his handphone flash inside the cable.

Looks like LED from top view

It works

You'll get this if you knows how an Optic Fibre works =)

Anyway, the Optic Fibre was used for transmission of signal (I think using Amplitude Shift Keying) which will on and off the LED.

Spot the light source
