2009 long semester break

My two months of semester break is coming to an end and so does for the year 2009. A decade is reaching an its going to be 2010. As for the past 2 months holiday, I successfully manage to spent it wisely. Usually I will just sleep at home.

I think my first outing since November after attending my friends party will be a photographer for Mr Joel Lim who actually joined the KFC am Riser competition to win an iPhone 3G. All he need to submit pictures of his happy moments WHILE eating KFC morning breakfast. Took about 300++ photos for him.

One of his gaya pose

Sadly instead of winning an iPhone from KFC, he was conned by KFC. What a sad moment. Refer to this link for the whole story. Nevertheless I get to eat free KFC meal too while taking pictures for him. LOL thanks man.

Not long after that I was called to work in McDonald Greenlane. Since the second day of my working day I was already stationed to drive-thru and thats the time where I get to meet a lot of people ranging from friends, I-known-teachers, to regular customer, to nice cars, to pretty girls, to sexy dressed girls, weird girls and guys, problematic customers and bla bla bla. I also earned myself a pin which I have to wear on my uniform but I don't wear it cos I'm lazy. If you ever see this people with pins on their uniform, these people actually manage to maintain their level of good job in their respective working environment. Dun play play... *nose up a bit*

My Pin, shortcut FAF =)

Not long after working was "suppose to be surprised" for Marcus on his birthday. Due to some technical error the planed failed. We celebrated at his new house with a Fillet-O-Fish and a candle on top of it and also a cake from his mother.

Cutting cake ceremony

A week after that I went Pesta Pulau Pinang and have a look but didn't play or pay anything over there including the entrance fee. I get to save it as the Sports department allocated a spot for us to put up a demonstration and also a mini tournament. Other than that very boring in there.

Inside Pesta

Went to KL for another two day tournament. Its somewhere near Petaling Street where you can find all the cheap things. Its also a place to hear people bargain in a funny way. By the way KL is a good place to "cuci mata". LOL...

Its been a while I've been to KL and my tournament is held in a school. A private school to be exact and the school environment is like my college. Got lift and underground car parks but no school field. The canteen also sell original DVD's of the latest Chinese drama. Me and my friends were just amazed with it. Anyway, I hate sleeping with small kids. They will just not make you able to sleep during the night. Got one of them woke up early in the morning at 3am and ate his bread near the door. Gila mia orang. On the tournament day, I met a damn keng small kid. Under 12 years old category. If I compete with him I still loose to him in Kata.

Just a few days after back from KL, we went to wash and wax Wen Ping's car on his birthday in the morning. I remember after waxing his car I have to wash my hand every 20 minutes in McD because of the smell on my hand. In the night, we went again to celebrate wen ping's day.

Wp's Donuts

Most of the time spent on playing Wii boxing and tennis. After that i had my dinner in KFC.

Not long after that was May Xia's birthday. Went to her house in Batu Maung and ambush her. Luckily everything went on smoothly and manage to give her a heart attack but at the same time my ear drum almost tear from her high pitch scream.

Celebrated in her house

After that again when for my dinner in a mamak stall dunno somewhere in Penang.

The very same week on Sunday, December 13th I participated in Starwalk 2009. I took part in the competition level under the boys category. Walk and walk and walk for 10 kilometers.

Inside PISA after finish walking

Most favourite moment is still the part where I pass the airport. Get to see the Malaysian Airline Boeing 737-400 taking off. Sweet.

Boeing 737-400

Manage to get myself the 54th placing finishing in 1hour 20 minutes *my own timing* and as usual get nothing home during the lucky draw contest.

Few days before Christmas, I went to Bukit Tambun to have seafood. Went to Ghee Seng Restaurant and kena hentam nicely there also =)

Crab (quite small)

The pocket killer fish. RM60 for it

Walk round Autocity before stopping in Old Town for a drink. Wanted to buat kacau in the McDonald Drive-thru but did not manage to do so. =( Went back quite late in the night and woke up late and punch in work late too. YAY... became a superstar in McD for the day =.=

The very next day, 23rd Dec was my pay day. Whoot.... Come money Come to me $.$
Did not check my salary till Christmas day itself. Attended my best friend's farewell in the place I was working on boxing day. I treat her one sundae strawberry and bought my self Oreo Mudpie (extra ice cream, extra oreo and extra chocolate at normal price) and also got scolded by her sister for not buying her sundae also =.=

The very next day also was my last day working in McD. Last day was never a very nice day. I entered work at 2pm which is halfway McValue Lunch (I hate that period the most), the damn ice cream machine not working correctly. Then in the evening my Drive-thru soft drinks machine spoil and worse, McD ran out of ice. So all customer get their drinks without ice and those ordered Milo or other drinks will definitely be the happiest guy. Anyway I still suffer cos I have to travel a long path to get drinks from other machine. Very celaka. After surrendering back my punch card and my name tag, as usual i get all the good luck wishes with all the hand shaking and friendly tab JUST that all of that with chocolate (hotfludge) on their hands. So my hands are full of chocolate. KNS. If I didn't run out from that place earlier, they are gonna bath me with a pail of smelly water which I will die fighting my way off. Nevertheless, its an enjoyable moment as my freedom starts =D

Rested for a day and off to Pantai Kerachut the next day. Hike up there in about an hour and 30 minutes. A rather easy hike compared to Bukit Jambul hill.

Found this on the beach created by other people

The bridge to the jungle

Met Jared, Khang Yang, Chin Hooi and Ye-Wheen over there. Snap lots of pictures and nice view. Played so called beach volleyball and got cut by sand and see weird stuns done by them. Really laugh non-stop. After that go play with water but ended up being pushed in to the water and drink salt water. Soaked ourselves in the fresh water river mouth but also ended up getting sun burn before getting a boat ride back to the entrance. Was also misunderstood as a volunteer by the Swedish people =.=

Playing beach volleyball

The river mouth that i soak myself in

The very next day again, went to Jusco AEON in Bukit Mertajam to meet Hooi Jing (Toh's GF) to suprised her. Go there with nothing in my pocket but luckily i have my ATM card and an ATM machine there. Phew... or else i have to pinjam wang dari along again. Although got money but must still save or else my pocket will dry up fast when college reopens.

Green curry that me and Wen Ping agreed to order

Went back to kerachut again the very next day but this time all so lazy to go down the water except me and Eric Capel. This time, the sea water is far much higher compared to the previous trip. I must find a high ground to lie down and the lake is more saltier due to the sea water flowing into it.

Went to Butterfly Farm after that.

Butterfly that I find it interesting

Cute mandarin ducks

That's all till 31st December 2009. PPK Joel in cyen's party and had countdown and celebrated new year in my dreams on my bed. Another one more day before college reopens and I haven't enroll myself yet.

Going to see Mr Chan for two subjects. Sob sob... extremely rough journey ahead of me.

Depression

It is already my third week working in McDonald and throughout the three weeks I'm working in the drive-thru position as a presenter and also a drink drawer. As a presenter I have to check all the product according to the customer order before handling it and as a drink drawer I have to prepare drinks ler. That sounds an easy job eh but the horror of that position comes in when there are tonnes of cars queuing up and your monitor all full of orders. The worst is when one car got damn many order. The most I encountered is 14 sets of McValue Lunch and their drinks all got big, medium, Milo, Rebena and bla bla. KNS i hate that type of orders. Usually when in this situation, I will double check the order. If my runner (the person who helps me to assemble the products) misses one damn burger I have to take the customer's nagging. Damn celaka.

One week six days of doing the same thing makes me feel damn tired man. The remaining one day is my off day. Honestly speaking I now understand why people say one day of break is enough to them. It feels so nice which i usually use it as a sleeping day. I will sleep almost 16 hours. Sleep puas puas before going back to work.

My Current Life

Every time when I'm out of food, I get to choose what I want to buy to eat. I have three option to choose: ~

Option 1
Walk straight out to my house junction and turn left to McDonald.

Option 2
Walk straight out to my house junction and turn right to Taman Free School's hawker stall.

Option 3
Stay at home and cook Maggie Mee.

Usually I will choose Option 1 and never consider about the other two not because I'm rich but just want a change of taste since everyday must eat home cook food. (I rarely get this chance leh)

BUT

Today onwards, if I get myself into this situation AGAIN, I will choose Option 2 or Option 3.

Here's the reason, I was feeling damn super bored and rotting at home. So I find myself a job that is near my home which is McDonald. Everyday i get to eat one set of meal consist of a medium fries, a medium drink and any type of main dish I want. Not a bad offer, just that dessert is not allowed =(

The first day there, I met my trainer Rohanah (one of the manager), we call her kak Anah. She showed me everything in the kitchen till the front counter (which I've seen since small) and the Big Boss (owner) picture. I got shock when I saw the picture. It's the Big Boss and her sister picture and I thought it was just an advertisement picture which show people the happy feeling eating at McD =.=

After introduction, my trainer says today I do "runner" where I must get all the meals ordered my the customer and arrange them on the tray while the cashier accepts the payment. It took me a while to encrypt the weird codes on the monitor.

Eg : 1 LCoke, 1 vlDD, LFries, 3 ketchup, 3 Chilli.

I can encrypt all until I saw the vlDD. I stood there think "What the hell is that". Stopped a senior to help me interpret it and only I realize it is Value Lunch Double Cheese Burger. =.=

The next day, I changed station already. I was assign to Drive-Thru "presenter". Over there I have to check all the meals prepared by the runner before giving it to the customer. Most important I have to greet the customer "Good evening, welcome to McDoanld. Here is your order and please come again". Now when I close my eye to sleep, that stupid speech keeps ringing in my head. Celaka betul.

As for the working environment, it is nice to have such a funny colleague. Before that, all the Malay co-worker got problem pronouncing my name. I keep getting all weird names starting from Gun to Top Gun to Lim Guan Eng till one of them create a Malay name for me "Razri". I blow there.

The managers and crew leader is ok but I have to say this, the females are the most efficient. They will do everything fast and very garang especially the Chinese. They guy's all steady wan. They came up with a code "take ur time as long as it is right order" which I like it a lot. LOL

That my current life so far. Later I'll be working 8hr shift today. Haih. Leg muscle training again. =(

Why pilot

I just don't know why I wanted to blog about this today but I shall make good use of this post to continue burning my desire to fly. =D

Honestly speaking, I start to love planes when I'm seven. It started when i went to the Bayan Lepas International Airport (today:Penang International Airport) to pick up my uncle from Singapore. Each time I go there, I will go to the second floor where there is a big glass covered for you to see the whole runway and planes parking at their respective terminals. I somehow syeok see the planes taking off and landing *somehow*

When I was eight, it was my first time to step on a plane. I'm actually flying to Johor Bahru (Senai Airport) instead of a direct flight to Singapore. I sat on a MAS Boeing 737 (air asia belum lahir lagi kua). The most interesting part of the flight is the taking off and when the plane is turning. Got the nice feeling when it turns. When the plane lands, almost half the plane passengers clap. The eight year old kid was also asked to clap but he ask his grandmother why must clap? The boy was answered that each time the person who lands the plane, he must make good decision and calculation to land smoothly. Still puzzled, isn't this their job??? That question went unanswered.

The experience above only make me love planes but not the occupation. At the age of eight, I did not know that a person that flies the plane is called a pilot. =.=

Now why I wanted to be a pilot?

One of the reasons is that I like traveling. I like to travel to new places and I believe the whole world can never be finish explore till the your last breath. Look at the pictures below:

London

South Korea (Autumn)

Tokyo

How nice can it be when your job allows you to go round the world exploring, meeting new people, witnessing different cultures and seeing new architectures such as:

Not sure where this is

That's just the beauty of the land. When up in the sky it can also be a beautiful place. BUT it can also be a nightmare. Look at the bright side. =D

Where can you get such a view from the land?

OR

Rainbow view from the sky

Well, that's just the side interest. The main interest of me to be a pilot is because like I said earlier I love planes and I want to sit in the cockpit and fly people around =)

Very tempting

Even more tempting

The other reason is the non-fixed working schedule. Its like my current life, sometimes can sleep till damn late, sometimes have to wake up early, sometimes have to stay overnight. Syeok right. At least they wont wake you up in the middle of my sleep to fly. If they do, I will crash the plane into the airline HQ. LOL joking only.

Lastly is the stupidest reason on earth. I wanted the job because I like the uniform. =.=" And also get to enter restricted areas that ordinary people cannot enter. Hah

The video below is about a pilot's life. The song must hear 10x only sound nice.

Well that's all for now. I can only hope and I hope I really have the passion for it. There's a saying:
"you may like but it does not mean you may love"

Funny Videos

For the first video, you need to understand Cantonese and Hokkien language very well. Only with these languages, you can enjoy the video.

As for next video is for the fan of a counter strike.

Heaven of Food

Today was the last day of my exam. Damn scared especially the Electrical Machine paper. It is also a day where we eat and see my lecturer for the last ( no longer teaching us). To celebrate his farewell, we went for dinner in TAO Cuisine. (first time there, noob)

Went there at 5.30pm and eat till 8.15pm.

Pics of my food.

You must be wondering where is my lecturer???

The guy next to Jonathan Toh

His name is Mr Oh Eng Wei. He teaches me Electrical Magnetic Field (EMF) for this semester.

PS : Damn shit, stomach ache for 4 days already. Thanks to Sungai Dua McD.

Arghhhhh.....

Last week was a very interesting week. It was the final week for me to settle my capacitor and also a week for Test 2 followed up with two lab reports to do. Upon that, my uncle from Singapore is back again. YAY cannot study at home in peace again. Interesting week isn't it.

After test 2 on Wednesday, stayed up and play inside the class. It started with a crumpled muskin tape where Wen Ping used it to juggle. I find it fun so i myself also tried it until i bring it to a higher level. I used Marc's lunch box and hit the crumpled tape towards Wen Ping. This goes on until something happen.

Wen Ping massaging his head

Nothing happen, Wen Ping just bang his head on a thick metal bar. Nothing to fear or worry of =D

The same night I went seafood again in Teluk Kumbar. Again I was asked what is Pat Poh Peng. Blank again. Later that night I send my uncle off in the airport *woot*. After sending him off, I was walking back towards the car till I hear a prop plane engine. As curious and interested to see, I walked towards the sound and I get to see the FireFly ATR 72-500.

ATR 72-500

Managed to see the plane start both engine and taxi off to the runway for take off. By the way, while walking i saw a Firefly Second Officer. He look damn depress. Was like want to cheer him up by asking 4 his autograph. LOL

As for Thursday, was a day to complete my reports. Rush through a lot with lots of plagiarism. This is the time where you find the usefulness in learning ringkasan and rumusan. Just extract the isi tersurat and paste it into your report. After that the rest of the night is used up to settle my capacitor. Was so sad that my capacitor is no longer capable to produce 5nF after thorough planning and calculation. While I recalculated the whole thing again (back to square one) Marcus was "experimenting" my bottles with different type of liquids such as CAR ENGINE OIL and different types of wrapping style on the capacitor.

After failing to make the damn capacitor, I start to sit back and relax and enjoy some funny videos posted up in facebook. Laugh my ass off.

A set of failure capacitors that looks like explosive objects.

As for Friday, was a real miracle day. All the failure that was encountered on Thursday transformed. Surprisingly my failure capacitor turned out to be a successful one during the assessing period. Press ball when Mr Oh said "Jun Guan I want to see your capacitor"

After that relieve assessment, went up for a hike in BJ Hill again and down to Sunshine Square for lunch in MacD. Its been a while i've not ate McD but i just want the contour glass eh.

Purple Contour Glass

I like m new cup. =)

Self Satisfaction =D

I can't believe that I've not been blogging about planes for about a month. *myself shock*

Shall talk about it today. Recently the United States Air Force acrobatic team (ThunderBird) arrive Malaysia to do some demonstration. The team uses F-16 Fighting Falcon as their plane to demonstrate.

F-16 Fighting Falcon

The name Thunderbird, a mythical creature common to indigenous cultures of North America, believed to attack humans by sending out evil spirits and legends to wreak havoc on the country side. It is also known as the "spirit lord," a name that came from its apparent use of evil spirits and happenings to cause its wishes to become reality.

Look at some of their stunts...

No ordinary pilots can do this

Next is going to be the Blue Angles.

Its another United States acrobatic but this team is from the US Navy. They uses the F-18 Superr Hornet (canggih plane)

F-18 Super Hornet owned by Blue Angel

Lastly is my favorite team. The RED ARROWS

They are the best team in the world when comes to maneuvering skills. BTW this team comes form Royal Air Force (England). They have nine pilots in this team but with a few backup pilots. Only the cream of the crop from the air force are selected to join the arrows.

The plane that us used by them is the BAE Hawk T1A. Its a light and small aircraft that is very suitable for stunt movements. Anyway this aircraft is used to train up new pilots joining the air force.

Hawk

Hope to see them in LIMA end of this year. HOPE la.

Yesterday went to watch G-force. Very nice and funny movie produced by Jerry Bruckheimer

Talking about G-Force, I wish I could have a GeForce 5900 GTX on my PC.

NVIDIA Geforce FX5900 GTX

Anybody want to donate it to me???

PS : have been addicted to The Simpson Movie

Capacitor of the day.

The above picture is not a candle or a bomb. Its a home made 14nF capacitor. Suppose to be a 14nF but when measured sometimes can go up to 20nF or drop till 5nF. More of this is coming up as my target is to achieved a 5nF capacitor. BTW this is called a coaxial capacitor where its in cylindrical shape.

After that I shall try to burn it. HEHEHE. Shall take a video of it exploding. *wicked smile*

Tsunami

I watch the latest Korean movie "Tsunami" on Monday. On Tuesday I brag about it. In the movie the tsunami is really scary. When I saw the water my eyes just grew bigger by itself and the NEXT day, a tsunami strike in the pacific taking 100 lives away. =(

The first part of the movie is about the 2004 super earthquake. They show the tsunami strike into Indonesia and the total live lost. Due to that major earthquake, the Korean scientist calculated that Korea is about to experience an earthquake soon which is in 2009 somewhere far out the sea. Because of that a tsunami is going to strike the coast of Korea.

After that part is a bit boring already. As usual all about love story. Somehow the Korean not good in acting love story eh. Until the last 30 minutes of the show, finally the earthquake stuck and the whole of Korea was shaken. But the most fake part is...... they never learn from the 2004 horror event. When the earthquake struck, everybody in the beach is still happily sunbathing and swimming. They only start to run when the saw the huge wave coming which is too late.

Overall, this movie is not a bad movie. You get to see how hard all the rescuers tried to rescue the victims after the first strike and so many was sacrificed to save the civilians from the second strike. Besides that, I noticed that most people did not only died from drowning or being drag back to the sea after the tsunami strike, most people died from electrical shock due to the cables on the road side touching waters. This movie really bring you to the original scene and make you feel like a victim.
